Meat for the Masters Use
In Revelation 3:20 we read a passage of scripture that I believe relates to the church in the world that we live in today. John writes to the Laodicean church and says as directed by the Lord, " Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him and sup with him, and he with me. The Laodicean church had gotten to a place where they didn't depend on the Lord to supply their needs and had become what the writer calls lukewarm or to use a more churchy word we will say complacent. In the culture we live in it certainly seems that we are at that same place now and the Lord is knocking at the doors of our hearts trying to get our attention just as he did the Laodicean church. He wants to have fellowship with us and will if we but will answer the knock at the door He will come in to us. Through the fellowship that will come as we sup with him we can truly be Meat for the Masters Use.
